Traditional Heat Meets Infrared Comfort
The Finnmark FD-7 Thermo-Aspen Combination Barrel Sauna brings together Spectrum Plus™ infrared panels and a traditional Finnish stone heater in an outdoor sauna designed for up to four people.
Engineered to operate both heating systems together, the FD-7 pairs infrared warmth with the familiar sauna ritual of pouring water over hot stones. Finnmark lists a maximum infrared temperature of 170°F and temperatures up to 185°F when a traditional stone heater is used.
Sauna Kit — On-Site Assembly Required
The Finnmark FD-7 is supplied as a sauna kit requiring on-site assembly and professional installation. It does not arrive fully assembled. A compatible traditional sauna heater is required and sold separately.
Thermo-Aspen Construction
Thermally modified European Aspen forms the sauna’s interior and exterior, with substantial 1.5-inch staves. Clear-grade Western Canadian Cedar benches and frame complement the Thermo-Aspen construction, while upper and lower benches provide two seating levels.
Designed for Outdoor Use
An 8 mm glass assembly with a rubber gasket complements the barrel design. Shingle roof protection, three stainless steel straps, and three Shou Sugi Ban treated supports complete the construction.
Integrated Infrared Heating
Five Spectrum Plus™ infrared heaters provide a combined output of 1,750 watts. The infrared system requires a 120 V, 15 A connection with a NEMA 5-15P plug.
Traditional Heater Sold Separately
A compatible traditional sauna heater is required and sold separately. Its electrical requirements are separate from those of the infrared system.

Free curbside delivery is included with your purchase. On rare occasions, remote or complex delivery areas may not qualify for free curbside delivery.
- Due to the size and weight of this sauna, this item ships on a wooden pallet via freight carrier. The driver is responsible for curbside delivery and will lower the shipment to ground level.

Installation & Warranty
Professional Installation
The Finnmark FD-7 requires on-site assembly and professional installation. The installation manual specifies a minimum of two physically able installers.
Site Preparation
Install the sauna on a flat, level surface with adequate structural support. Finnmark lists concrete, gravel, and wood decking as acceptable foundations. When installing over grass or organic ground, use pavers or flagstone beneath the supports to prevent sinking. Provide appropriate drainage and account for local weather conditions.
Electrical Installation
The infrared system requires 120 V, 15 A service with a NEMA 5-15P connection. These specifications apply only to the infrared system. The required traditional sauna heater is sold separately and has its own electrical requirements. All wiring must be completed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable codes and the equipment manufacturers’ instructions.
Outdoor Protection and Maintenance
Follow the manual’s weather-protection requirements, including applying wood preservative to all exterior surfaces immediately after installation, including doors and windows. Improper installation, inadequate weather protection, and failure to follow maintenance requirements may affect warranty coverage.

Non-factory-installed components are excluded from the supplied Finnmark warranty. Refer to the traditional heater manufacturer for its separate warranty.
The supplied warranty was last updated December 12, 2022, and states that coverage may be changed on the quote or invoice. The manufacturer’s written terms and applicable purchase documents govern coverage.
